Two Rivers Wellness Center

Two Rivers Wellness Center cares about everyone who come to us seeking help. We provide the highest quality outpatient services, while addressing the unique needs of everyone through the
various stages of well-being. Our primary goal is to promote and support long-term recovery and wellness through the development of education, self-awareness and personalized knowledge of one’s unique mental health struggles and disorders. We emphasize an individual’s ability to change their own behavior and provide the necessary tools needed to achieve change. We believe that if given guidance and professional support in an empathetic setting, every person has the potential to attain a fulfilled life.

Non-Judgmental Support & Treatment 

Our staff can deal with issues of self-esteem, anger management, substance abuse, depression, or anxiety, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, neurodivergent childhood disorders, and other thinking disorders. Children, the elderly, and anyone in between looking for validation, resources and coping tools will find a safe space based on mutual trust and authenticity.

We provide non-judgmental treatment in the form of children’s play therapy, treatment for eating disorders, calm acupuncture, and various addictions treatment styles, such as 12-stage support groups. Clinicians at the Two Rivers Wellness Center offer

specialized treatment for children aged 10 and under, across the neurodivergent spectrum to address individual needs!

We know how difficult it can be to seek help for substance abuse, eating disorders and other mental health problems.  Our team of 4 practitioners strives to provide a loving, caring, and supportive environment where our clients feel safe and motivated to recover and heal. Our qualified clinicians have various work experiences, including in-patient residential treatment, community service counseling, psychiatric care, head start, intensive outpatient treatment and community outreach. Personal experience mixed with formal training makes for a team sincerely ready and willing to help!  

Romina Abawi-Wooten

LPC, CSAC, NCC
Romina is passionate about creating a safe space where her clients can process, think aloud, and seek support in a judgement-free environment. She started her career in juvenile justice but quickly realized that she is more interested in the restorative rather than the retributive process of adolescents. She now works with clients ages 16-64 who are seeking counseling for substance abuse disorder, feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, or are stuck in unhealthy thought patterns. She is a certified Substance Abuse Counselor and specializes in Auricular Therapy.

Jennifer Russell

LMSW, Supervisee of Social Work

Jenn’s personal struggle seeking mental health support for her neurodiverse child led her to become the counselor she wished she had been able to find. She is a Licensed Master of Social Work in Virginia, Supervisee of Social Work in Virginia, and is currently under supervision for Registered Play Therapist certification.

Joy Badalis

Morgan Walker

Morgan was driven to become a counselor after her own experience on the other side of the couch. As a client, she had the opportunity to grow fully into herself, a journey she intends to never stop pursuing. She found greater insight, self-awareness, and healing within her personal life which ultimately led her to this professional work.

Mayra became a counselor because she appreciates helping others learn, understand, and challenge themselves. She enjoys being a positive influence and providing a healthy support system by holding space that is safe, nonjudgmental, compassionate, and empathetic for individuals to feel heard and have the opportunity to explore that there is better, it just hasn’t been unlocked yet.
