Romina is dedicated to creating a safe, judgment-free space where her clients can reflect, process, and feel supported. She began her career in juvenile justice but quickly discovered her passion lies in restorative work over retribution, especially when supporting people through challenging times.

Today, Romina works with individuals aged between 16-64 who are seeking counseling for substance use disorders, feelings of helplessness or hopelessness, and those who are feeling stuck in unhealthy thought patterns. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a certified Substance Abuse Counselor, and she offers Auricular Acupuncture Therapy as part of her work.

Romina takes a holistic approach to therapy, helping clients tap into their full potential. She believes healthy communication is essential for getting our needs met and makes it a core focus in her work. Through psycho-education and evidence-based cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), she prioritizes building strong relationships with her clients - empowering them to better understand, validate, and own their stories.

Originally from Ontario, Canada, Romina moved to Virginia as a teen - a difficult transition that ultimately inspired her passion for working in a therapeutic setting. Her personal mantra is "Movement is medicine". Outside of work, you'll likely find her staying active and enjoying a good HIIT workout.
